MICHELLE WESTON Nelson, NZ

My art is an ongoing conversation with glass, a dynamic exchange shaped by color, light, and the enduring patterns of nature. I find inspiration in the fluid, organic world—from the delicate lines of a jellyfish to the sculpted curves of sand left by receding waves. My recent work, deeply inspired by the incredible diversity of New Zealand's Tasman region, focuses on the delicate kina found on Kina Beach. Each finished piece seeks to capture that fleeting moment when the ephemeral becomes tangible. They are invitations to look closer, celebrating the beauty found in both the ordinary and the extraordinary.
