Based on the Kāpiti Coast, Sarah Bromley creates functional pottery designed to be a tactile delight. Deeply connected to the natural world, she draws inspiration from organic forms and a palette of forest greens, coastal blues, and earthy browns. Sarah’s practice is a study in sustainability and experimentation; she often incorporates wild local clay and handcrafted ash or rock glazes. Embracing the beautiful unpredictability of the elements, she utilizes gas, salt, soda, and wood-firing, relying on the atmosphere of the kiln to leave its unique mark on every piece.
