This stunning bone breast plate pendant, carved by artist Amanda Thompson (Ngā puhi), embodies the concept of 'Unity'. The intricate design is first laser-cut onto the bone, then skillfully enhanced using a traditional tea-staining method to darken the engraved areas. It is completed with an adjustable, plaited wax cord woven securely through the top.
