This cute Kaka Pin is beautifully hand crafted out of sterling silver by Wellington jeweller Sue Shore. Sue lovingly handcrafts each piece, with the aim of capturing and recreating the essence of New Zealand and the life within our native birds.
 
Kākā are handsome raucous parrots, brownish/khaki with huge hooked slate coloured beaks, impressive talons, grey feathered heads, a brassy flourish behind their dark button eyes, and a coppery blush on their cheeks. They are impressive fliers, and seen from below you will notice their red under-wings, you’ll often find them high in the tree tops.
