A stunning landscape by New Zealand artist Alan Wehipeihana. This print is from an original art piece that was carved from recycled timber and then painted.

These lovely prints have a slightly raised finish.  Several years ago a friend of Alan’s who ran a commercial printing business saw his prints on German etching paper and asked if he could try a different printing technique. These unusual slightly raised prints were the result. They’re still archival but are more resilient than those printed on etching paper, which need to be under glass.

The images chosen for this printing technique come from earlier works when Alan used to carve and paint landscapes on recycled wood. Only 100 of each were printed.
