Inspired by the Kōkako, whose hauntingly beautiful call is said to carry the soul of the forest.
A song of mist and memory, the kōkako’s call drifts through ancient forests like a melody from another time. In Māori legend, this graceful bird carried water to Māui as he tamed the sun, earning its long, slender legs that once let it bound effortlessly through the treetops. Cloaked in soft blue-grey, with striking blue wattles like drops of sky, the kōkako is both a messenger and a dreamer—a voice of the wild, singing the past into the present.
