This beautiful, double twist (Pikorua) pendant by Dean Moreton is crafted from New Zealand Kawakawa Pounamu (NZ Greenstone).

The twist, or Pikorua, beautifully resembles two intertwined pikopiko ferns. This elegant form symbolizes the enduring paths of 'life and love' or 'friendship and eternity'. Kahurangi pounamu, a name meaning "precious or prized possession" in Māori, is a highly valued and exquisitely translucent type of greenstone. It's celebrated for its exceptional clarity and vibrant green hue, often graced with subtle, cloud-like inclusions. Traditionally, Kahurangi was reserved for items of significant status and importance, such as ceremonial adzes belonging to chiefs.
