The tanekaha is an ancient, attractive and long lived tree growing for upwards of 500 years.  The leaves are a pretty mid green colour and are actually flattened stems making it a unique conifer. The earrings celebrate this unique native tree and are made by hand cutting pure silver plate, filing, sanding, soldering and patterning with a scribe.  Attached are the classic leaf shaped sterling hooks.
