This lovely little dish has been handmade by Borrowed Earth and features a Tiki and koru design. To create this cute dish, clay is molded into shape then a coloured underglaze is added before using a sgraffito technique to create the pattern. Sometimes they use paint directly onto the piece instead. The dish is then bisque fired and when the temperature has cooled, it’s then taken out of the kiln and a transparent glossy glaze goes over the top. It’s then fired again to around 1200 degrees.
