A cute iti (little) Fish hook pounamu (NZ greenstone) pendant. The Hei Matau is a fascinating and culturally significant piece. The indigenous people of New Zealand, Māori, used Hei Matau similar to this one, to fish. Today, the Hei Matau pendant is believed to bring the wearer good luck during journeys, especially when travelling over water.
