Artist Statement About This Artwork
I have a great appreciation for Liz II and the long life of constant service she has devoted to us all, so it was with some emotion I watched her speak to us about the difficulties we are experiencing during this extraordinary time. Her comments about being out of contact with friends and family and the assertion that "we will meet again" really resonated as it reminded me of my parents singing along with Vera Lynn. This artwork is delivered in admiration of her and the effort to create solid practice around fighting the virus in our best ways possible over the longer distance. Stay home often and stay safe 2020.
