This is a print of Rob Barrington’s artwork called Whiritoa. The original piece was created using Pen, ink and acrylic.

A small town (village) in Coromandel, full of old to modern batches, memories of holidays and summer. The offshore winds breeze the waves for the clean lines and blue water. A beautiful secluded beach often deserted, with a serene coastline of rocky small islands, native bush land; open cliffs that spread out in either direction to add to the view. The bunny tail grasses fan the wind across the sand tracks that lead down to the beach front to meet the waves.

Since 2020, Rob has dedicated himself fully to his art, working in acrylics, oils, mixed media, pen and ink, and fine brush across canvas, board, and paper. His current body of work draws on a lifetime of creative exploration, weaving together memories and experiences to produce evocative compositions inspired by both urban and natural landscapes. Rob’s work is characterised by its depth, technical skill, and the thoughtful narratives embedded in each piece, making him a distinctive presence in the contemporary art scene.
