This artwork is a representation of Rob Barrington's whenua, where I live, with the birds a visual song that reminds us of a time & place, of our own visual connection.

Conservation of our native fauna and the preservation in our country’s history, grateful that we are all part of this beautiful land and the consideration of its wellbeing.

The Huia (native bird) and its black & white feathers were an iconic native bird we lost, reasons for which we can point at ourselves. A reminder of the fragility of these native jewels.
