This 18mm x 14mm ring with tapered band to 4mm is inspired by the Tukutuku a traditional Māori latticework panels, feature intricate, named geometric patterns created by stitching (whatu) materials like kiekie, pīngao, and pipiwharauroa onto a kakaho (reed) frame. These panels, found in meeting houses (wharenui), symbolize whakapapa (genealogy), stories, and spiritual connections.
